Unified medal to 70th anniversary of the Victory

By the Decree of the President the rule of rewarding with the unified the medal devoted to "70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", — reports the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.

According to them following group of people will be awarded by this medal:

• Military personnel serving in the military units, headquarters and establishments which were a part of army and fleet in the period of the Great Patriotic War and also during other combat operations on protection of the former USSR, guerrillas and underground workers of the Great Patriotic War;

• Military personnel of field army and fleet, guerrillas and underground workers of the Great Patriotic War, and also the workers and employees of the appropriate categories who became disabled (wounded, contusions, mutilations) during the Great Patriotic War, on a construction of defensive boundaries, naval bases and airfields, and equated provisions of pension to the military personnel;

• Military personnel, which became disabled due to contusions, mutilations received during the protection of the former USSR or due to disease received at the front; the persons of the commanding and ordinary composition of law-enforcement bodies and state security of the former USSR which became disabled;

• The fighters and command composition of the destructive battalions, platoons and groups of protection of the people working from January 1, 1944 to December 31, 1951 in the territory of Ukrainian with the Soviet Socialist Republic, Belarusian SSR, Lithuanian SSR and Latvian SSR, Estonian SSR which became disabled people due to wound, contusions or mutilations received on duty in these battalions, platoons and groups;

• Military personnel, and also the people of the commanding and ordinary composition of law-enforcement bodies and state security of the former USSR serving during the period the Great Patriotic War in the cities, the involvement in which defense was set off till January 1, 1998 in a length of service for assignment of pension on favorable terms, set for the military personnel of the parts of field army;

• People pf civilian composition of the Soviet Army, Navy, troops and law-enforcement bodies and state security of the former USSR which hold established posts in the military units, staffs and establishments which were part of field army in the period of the Great Patriotic War or which were in the cities that involved in defense;

• People who in the period of the Great Patriotic War were in composition of headquarters and establishments, which were part of field army and fleet, as students of regiments and ship’s boys;

• People who participated in military operations against fascist Germany and its allies during the WW II in the territory of foreign countries as a part of guerrilla groups, undergrounds groups and other anti-fascist formations;

• People who worked during the blockade of the city of Leningrad at the enterprises, in institutions and the organizations of the city and awarded by the medal "For Defense of Leningrad" and the sign "Resident of Besieged Leningrad";

• Former underage prisoners of the concentration camps, ghetto and other places of detention created by fascists and their allies during World War II;

• People who worked from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945 at least six months except the work on territories which are temporarily occupied by the enemy;

• People awarded by awards and medal of the former USSR for dedicated work and faultless military service in the Great Patriotic War.

Local executive bodies bear responsibility for correctness of compilation of lists and reliability of the data. Awarding ceremony will be carried on behalf of the President of the Kazakhstan. Medals will be handed in place of theirs holders.

The owner also will be given the certificate to the medal. The medal devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Victory is worn on the left side of the breast and located after anniversary medal of "1941–1945 for 65th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War".
