the saddle
This symbolic custom for a long time was preserved among the steppe nomads!
Critical remarks of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev on the Kazakh government caused public outcry. Ordinary citizens and experts express their opinion. Be that as it may, these movements of leaders coming to power and departing it will not affect the friendly relations of the Kazakh and Kyrgyz peoples, whose friendship has been tested for centuries.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan considers inadmissible the statements of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Atambayev dated October 7, 2017 to the leadership of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in relations between the two friendly states. We express confidence that irresponsible, provocative in nature and false statements in the pre-election goals of the President of Kyrgyzstan will not be able to damage the centuries-old bonds of friendship and mutual assistance between the countries."
Close economic relations between the two countries, established since independence, cover other areas of activity. Historical ties go back centuries. Departed from the shores of the Yenisey, Kyrgyz settled at the foot of Alatau - according to legend, they come from deer; after a while they are part of Alty Alash, together with the Kazakhs they break up the enemies, through the marriage of their children become relatives-matchmakers, thus, both people peacefully coexist. In the Kazakh Khanate, whose 550th anniversary was celebrated literally, the Kirghiz were not separated from the Kazakhs. At the time of the Kazakh Khan Tahir, the Kazakhs and Kirghiz gave the enemy a crushing rebuff. Tahir was forced to leave for Mogulistan, the Kyrgyz troops came to help him. By the combined forces of Kazakhs and Kirghiz, the ruler of Mogulistan, Rashid Sultan was pushed back to Issyk-Kul, where he was defeated. The last years of the reign of Khan Tahir were among the Kirghiz.
After him, Haknazar Khan came to the throne of the Kazakh Khanate, in the era of his rule relations between Kazakhs and Kirghiz have only grown stronger. "During the confrontation between Aknazar and the ruler of Mogulistan, Abd al-Latif, the Kyrgyz people rendered military assistance to Aknazar. The combined forces of the Kazakhs and Kirghiz were able to smash the Moguls, and they captured Abd al-Latif. The struggle between Mogulistan and the Kazakh Khanate for the Semirechye lands did not stop even during the reign of Yessim Khan". And one of the seven biys who participated in the development of Zheti Zhargy, in the era of Tauke Khan was the Kyrgyz bi Kokym, and he spread the power of Tauke Khan among the Kirghiz.
In the times of Abylay Khan Kazakhs and Kirghiz mostly lived peacefully, if not to speak of small skirmishes between them. Both of these people were subjects of the Russian Empire. The Kazakhs were called "Kirghiz", "Kirghiz-Kaisak", and the Kirghiz were called "black Kirghiz", "wild Kirghiz". This means that these peoples have common roots, and they are related to each other. Like the friendship between Suyunbay and Tokhtagul, Chokan Valikhanov and Sayakbay Karalayev, Mukhtar Auezov and Chingiz Aitmatov, Shaken Aimanov and Tolomysh Okeyev, Mukhtar Shakhanov and Suimenkul Chokmorov, Kazakhs and Kirghiz will always be one. The days will not return when both people lived as one people, but Kazakhstan is always ready to help Kyrgyzstan.
We are interested in providing Kirghiz brothers with electric energy, with black gold in the required amount. Recently Kazakhstan has allocated about 40 million US dollars for the construction of customs laboratories on the border with Kyrgyzstan. The people still remember about the humanitarian assistance provided when the Osh conflict arose. Perhaps someone will forget about this, but a simple Kirghiz resident will remember this always.
P.S. You can not say: I have passed the crossing, and the rest - burn in a blue flame. When it's time to say goodbye to the people with the people - they ask each other for the back bow of the saddle. Among the steppe nomads this is a symbolic expression of the fact that their ways diverge and the friendship between them breaks off! We hope that the new president who will replace Atambayev will strive to strengthen friendly ties with Kazakhstan, despite the rash statements of the incumbent president who at that moment did not think about the thousand and tens of thousands of his Kirghiz brothers who live, work and find support here, in Kazakhstan.
