In this regard, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan thanked Talgat Mamashev, the first vice-president of the Presidium of the “World Association of Kazakhs” who had previously held office.
In turn, the Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev was re-elected Chairman of the Presidium of the "World Association of Kazakhs".
"Talgat Mamashev has held this post since 2004. During this time, a lot of work has been done. External-internal ties strengthened, concerning the themes of culture, spiritual wealth. Now I would like to propose a candidature for this position Zautbek Turisbekov. He held important positions in the civil service. He is very experienced. He was akim of the regions, Minister of Internal Affairs of the RK, ambassador to Russia and Uzbekistan. He is well aware of the situation in these countries," the President noted.
The participants of the Qurultay unanimously supported the candidacy of Zautbek Turisbekov as First Vice-Chairman.
"Thank you for your trust. This post is very special not only for me, but for the entire Kazakh people. I will prove in practice all the issues that must be resolved," the new deputy chairman said.
