Turkish Embassy in Kazakhstan, Turkish cultural center named after Yunus Emre and Astana coordinating center of the Turkish Agency for cooperation and coordination in honor of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan holds "Days of Turkey" in Astana.
The event, which brought together friendly relations between the two countries, was attended by state and public figures, scientists, historians, employees of the Embassy, guests of the city and the staff of public organizations, representatives of mass media.
Within the framework of "Days of Turkey" was held a defile "The court costumes of the Ottoman era". On the defile were presented samples of the Ottoman era palace dress made by stylists of female technical decorative school of Adana (Turkey).
The event is timed to celebrate the independence of the two countries. This was told by the director of the Turkish Cultural Center named after Yunus Emre Almagul Isina.
"I'm glad to welcome you on the show of the court costumes of the Ottoman era. This year celebrates 93 years since the Turkish Republic Independence Day and 25 years of the Republic of Kazakhstan Independence. In this regard, we wish to recall the fact that Turkey first recognized the independence of Kazakhstan. The Turkish Embassy in Kazakhstan jointly with the Turkish Cultural Centre named after Yunus Emre holds in Astana "Days of Turkey". As part of the "Days of Turkey" was held a concert entitled "Kazakhstan-Turkey. Friendship Melodies". And now here we admire the court costumes of the Ottoman era. All these events are devoted to the independence of Turkey and Kazakhstan", - says A. Isina. Astana residents were represented by 40 court costumes with the Turkish and Islamic motifs. Among them, a collection based on the old Ottoman era clothes and jewelry of the time.
Turkey currently holds a leading position in the textile industry. Turkish textile was well developed in the Ottoman era. During the event stylists of female technical decorative school of Adana conducted studies of old clothes were stored in the palaces of Istanbul Topkapi and Dolmabahce. Subsequently, this information and ornaments were renewed in accordance with modern fashion.
The collection already visited Germany, Austria, the USA, Portugal, Republic of Tatarstan, Greece, Algeria, China, the Netherlands.
