The Open Doors Days at the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan attracted more than 3,000 people

The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted series of public, political, promotional, educational and cultural events dedicated to the Day of Astana from1 to 10 July 2015.

"All the events were conducted with the aim to acquaint residents and guests of the capital city with the activity of the Library as a centre of the Head of State, his political heritage and promotion of creative ideas and initiatives of Nursultan Nazarbayev. From 1 to 10 July 2015 the Library hosted events in a variety of thematic areas. The most significant event was a presentation of the book-interview of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev entitled "Omir Otkelderi" ("Milestones of the Life") with the participation of political and public figures, representatives of cultural community and scholars, students of universities and schools. Today we have conducted a presentation of the film "Tungysh — Pervy" ("The First One") that tells about the construction of our beautiful capital city of Astana in the steppe. This film includes the opinion of the country’s famous figures and foreign experts such as Australian traveller Warren Fix and Italian conductor Marco Boemi and others. On 8 July 2015 we organised a seminar to discuss the 100 concrete steps to implement institutional reforms with the participation of members of the Nur Otan Party and managers of ethnic and cultural centres. The event was attended by representatives of embassies and governmental agencies of foreign countries and famous figures of our country such as the Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova, journalist Kanat Auesbai and member of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Sultanov. There is the "Kemel Yel" Centre for Education of Youth under the Library, and the members of the Centre participated actively in all conducted events," said Zhapsarbai Kuanyshev, Deputy Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A presentation of another book about our President — "Bizdin President" ("Our President") took place on these days. In addition, a literary hour "Madeni Mura. Kultura, Traditsii i Samobytnocst" ("Madeni Mura. Culture, Traditions and Identity") and exhibitions "Astana in the Stream of History" and "Yelbasy Zholy — the Leader’s Path" were organised.

We notice that the Yelbasy Zholy — the Leader’s Path exhibition included old newspaper materials about Nursultan Nazarbayev published between 1958 and 1991. The exposition includes more than 70 publications and reveals the path of the President from metallurgist and the Communist Party official to political leader and the First President of Independent Kazakhstan.

At the Library the television and radio complex of the President demonstrated new films about the Leader of Nation such as "The Code of Peace and Concord of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan", "Where the Motherland Begins", "To Live and Create", "Astana is a Dream that Came True".

In general, all the events conducted within these 10 days demonstrated the chronicles of the activity of the President of Kazakhstan from independence to the present day.
