National Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Emblem is one of the main National Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The National Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan was approved by the Constitutional Law «On State symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan». According to the Law, the Emblem is the image of shanyrak on a blue background, while framed by wings of mythical horses rafters in the form of sunbeams ran off the shanyrak. At the top of the Emblem there is a five-pointed star, which is a sacred symbol of ancient Turks, while the inscription «Kazakhstan» is at the bottom. There are two colours of the image which are golden and deep blue. Shanyrak, the upper vaulted domeloke part of a yurt looking like a vault of heaven, symbolizes father’s home, the world and the universe. Shanyrak’s image on the State Emblem of the Republic is a symbol of the common home for all people living in Kazakhstan. Horse is a partner of nomads during their life; the whole economic and spiritual activity is closely related to it. Winged horses (combination of Pegasus and Unicorn) represent the aspirations for a strong and prosperous state. They also demonstrate the pure thoughts and strong wish to improve and achieve harmony in society, with the nature and world civilization. Five-pointed star expresses the desire of Kazakhs to join the community of nations and peoples from all five continents of the earth. The authors of the National Emblem are Zhandarbek Malibekov and Shota Aman Ualikhan.
