On March 1, 2014 at Humanitarian-Economic College located in v.Yesik of Almaty oblast, under the auspices of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, N.Nazarbayev Educational Foundation and Minor Academy of Sciences of RK the XXIIIoblast scientific-practical conference was held. 450scientific reports of pupils and students of Almaty oblast were presented at the conference.

The Chairman of Judges for Ethnic Education Section was presented byToktabay A.U., Doctor of Historical Sciences, Chief Research Scientist of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Ualikhanov of the Committee of Sciences of the Ministry of Education and Science of RK, the Chairman of Judges for History Section was presented by Ualtayeva A.S., Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Research Scientist of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Ualikhanov of the Committee of Sciences of the Ministry of Education and Science of RK. Fourteen reports and speeches of participants for Ethnic Education Section, 12 – for History Section were presented. The scientific works were evaluated according to five parameters: timeliness, novelty, personal contribution,scientific significance and ability to present a work. Each scientific work got comments and recommendations, with gained points justified, advantages and drawbacks marked, interview with research supervisors carried out.

The best reporters were awarded diplomas of grades I and II and recommended for participation at the Republican conference of Minor Academy of Sciences. The rest participants obtained diplomas and letters of gratitude.
