The historical fact of confrontation between the rulers of Saks, Tomiris, and Persian king Cyrus lies at the heart of this symbolic drama
Zhambyl Regional Russian Drama Theater successfully hosted the premiere
of performance "Centaurs of Turan" based on the play of the Kazakh
operator and writer Igor Vovnyanko, reports inform.kz.
The historical
fact of confrontation between the rulers of Saks, Tomiris, and Persian king
Cyrus lies at the heart of this symbolic drama. The "Centaurs of Turan"
narrates a story about the warlike tribe Saks that was controlled by the proud
queen Tomiris and how they defeated the king Cyrus, the one who conquered many countries
and was invincible until faced with the Great Steppe", said the director
of the Russian Drama Theatre Victoria Dadaeva.
The director of performance, a winner of the International Prize named
after Chingiz Aitmatov, Kuandik Kassymov was able to convey the intense
psychology of struggle with a superior force of the enemy, fight, on which
depends the future of the whole nation.
An art
director of the play is Vladimir Sizintsev, who subtly conveys the mysterious
atmosphere of the historical myths of antiquity.
The actors
involved in the performance Daniar Kenzhebekov, Beknazar Izbasarov, Sabit
Tolekanuly, Victor Sukopov played not so much tormented by violent passions
historical characters, but the modern people, who had the same passions. Centuries
succeed one another, changing the scenery and costumes, but the essence of the
human remains unchanged, on the verge of good and evil, the audience shared
their impressions of the play "Centaurs of Turan".
Igor
Vovnyanko was born in 1942 in Alma-Ata. In 1968, he graduated from the State
