International Conference “Comparative Literature. Historiography
in the literature and culture: between myth, literature and history” began its
work in Baku Slavic University (BSU), reports Bnews.kz
The two-day conference was attended by more than 40
scientists and researchers from 18 countries, including Kazakhstan, as well as by
almost 50 representatives of local universities and research institutions.
The purpose of the conference is to study the
methodological and practical aspects of the history, as expressions of memory
and learning the history through the text, the location of history between the
historical and literary genres, the analysis of the methods of depicting the history
in different cultures.
A master-class of Professor of the Kazakh National
University named after al-Farabi Anuar Galiyev, “The comprehension of the past:
between myth and history” will be held during the conference.
In the informal part
of the visit the guests will get acquainted with the sights of Baku; the
country trips will be organized.
