Ancient towns of Sauran and Syganak, architectural monuments and tomb structures Sunak ata, Aikozha ishan, Karasopy, Oksha ata, Dosbol bi, Yessabyz, Aktasa mosque, Korkyt ata complex are among the tourist attractions of the Silk Road.

One of the main tourist attractions of the region is Baikonur cosmodrome the construction of which was started in 1955. Baikonur is the world biggest scientific space testing site. The total area of the cosmodrome including the main and support facilities makes 61 717 square kilometers.

In accordance with the Road Map, Baikonur is one of the facilities of the EXPO-2017 exhibition. The infrastructure of the region will be completely renewed and new facilities are to be built. In future, Baikonur, Korkyt ata complex and vicinity of Kambash and Kymystybas Lakes of Aral district will become centers of international tourism.
