October 25, the city of Aktau became the venue for the fair-exhibition "Keruen"

Masters of arts and crafts, jewelers and artists from Mangystau region, Astana, Almaty, Taldykorgan, Turkestan, Uralsk, Atyrau and Aktobe cities take part in the five-day fair organized in the cultural-recreational complex named after Abay. Most of them presented their works in the pavilion "Nomads" of the ethnic and cultural complex "Ethno-aul" of the international exhibition "EXPO-2017" in Astana.

- The Fair of Masters of Decorative and Applied Art is organized within the framework of the state program "Looking into the Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness". Most of the masters represented here participated in the international exhibition EXPO-2017; however, not all Kazakhstanis could visit it. Therefore, we decided to go round our country and introduce residents of remote and not very populated areas with our fair "Keruen". We started from the city of Aktau, and then we will go to the cities of Zhanaozen, Atyrau, Kulsary, Uralsk, Aksay, and Aktobe. The last point of our journey will be the capital city of Astana. Prior to the EXPO-2017 exhibition, we visited Eastern Kazakhstan, and before that the southern part of Kazakhstan, said Bibigul Kardenova, organizer of the fair "Keruen", chairman of the public foundation "Pana-B".

Among the 25 masters who came from all regions is a member of the Union of Artists Gulnazym Omirzakkyzy. With her, she brought about 30 of her works, including both art paintings and souvenirs.

- Although I draw paintings in the ethno-modern style, I never forget about the traditions of my ancestors, I try to adapt them to modern conditions. My whole family is engaged in art. My father is an artist, my mother is a needlewoman, and we are drawing together with my sister, says Gulnazym Omirzakkyzy.
