"SCYTHIAN GOLD" IN ASTANA

Under the order of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Museum hosted the opening of a unique international exhibition of original artifacts "Scythian Gold"

The exhibition presents the best artifacts of Scythian culture (VII-II centuries BC) from the collection of the Orenburg Governor's Historical and Local History Museum, the National Museum of Kazakhstan, as well as unique finds from the collection of the famous Kazakh restorer Krym Altynbekov.

The early nomads created objects of arts and crafts unique in beauty and technology, reflecting their worldview (nomadic livestock, military life and the "animal style" of the Scythian Saks) in them. The exhibition presents the treasures of the beautiful culture of the ancient nomads and gives an opportunity to feel the spirit of the past millennia.

Curators of the exhibition: Krym Altynbekov, restorer, founder and head of the research and restoration laboratory "Crimean Island", Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Natalia Yeremina, Director of the Orenburg Governor's Historical and Local History Museum; Elina Altynbekova, designer, executive director of the research and restoration laboratory "Crimean Island".
