“Ult zhaukharlary” presentation

Presentation of the photobook “Ult zhaukharlary” was held at the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A round table started with a 20-minute documentary about «Ademi-Ai» company. 

The invited guests including scholars, writers, journalists, public figures delivered speech and shared opinions about the event. 

In 2011, a famous collector and art historian Bakhargul Tolegen opened «Ademi-Ai» Museum of Art in Almaty. You can see rare archaeological artifacts among the expositions of museum, which amounts over thousand exhibits dated from I-III centuries BC, items of decorative-applied arts, unique national souvenirs of «Ademi-Ai» company which works in the field of revival of historical-cultural values and national traditions. The most striking exhibits in the museum can be seen on pages of «Ult zhaukharlary» photobook by Bakhargul Tolegen. 

 The Head of our state Nursultan Nazarbayev appreciated Bakhargul Tolegen’s activity in her aspiration to study and preserve cultural heritage of Kazakh people. That does not happen by accident, as Bakhargul is a well-known collector-ethnographer and owns a private museum of gold and silver anticue items of the Turkic people in Kazakhstan. In addition, she is a Chief Executive of «Ademi-Ai» company producing Kazakh national souvenirs.

  Bakhargul, who spent her childhood and adolescence in the People’s Republic of China, realized her dream and in 1994 returned to her historical homeland. Since then, she has devoted her life to the outreach of national culture and preservation of invaluable historical relics. In 2010, she was awarded the title of Honored worker of culture for contribution of culture development in Kazakhstan by Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The same year, she became a winner of «Kazakhstan woman-2010» project, where 30 prominent women of our country took participation. In 2013, she was awarded the medal «Eren enbegi ushin».
