Astana: past and present in architectural treatment

Since last XIX century, the young capital of Kazakhstan which celebrates its lawful age this year incredibly transformed and turned into a real northern beauty.

Over millennia, the capital of Kazakhstan Astana has gradually changed its urban landscape due to intensive development in the construction industry, as well as in other fields of life, considering the present age of advanced technology and innovative projects. 

 The first Museum in Akmola founded by Semenov.

 Ministry of Foreign Affairs Republic of Kazakhstan is located there now. 

Merchant Khalif’s house

 The Parliament building is located there now. 

A building, where merchant Koschegulov’s candy factory and after revolution Editorial Offices of «Tirshilik» and «Akmolinskaya pravda» newspapers were situated. 

 It is «Akmolaturist» JCS now. 

A building on Sacco i Vanzetti Street (opposite Dvorets Tselinnikov — now Congress Hall) where City Bank was situated. 

 Currently, it is demolished. 

 Mosque. 

 It is a crossing point of Abai and Valikhanov streets now.
